Black on Black MANUAL
$xxxx.00 OBO
I purchased this car when I was needing to commute up to Shoreline from Belltown in June after a motorcycle accident. I have driven this car daily since I have owned it and it really hasn't sat for even a day. I intended to drive this car for a long while, which is why I put a decent amount of work and money into it to make it a solid daily driver. Recently I accepted a new job in SODO and in a week I will be moving within walking distance. With the cost of parking and little need to drive, sadly the car must go by 9/26.
The motor is from a xxxx 944. The last owner sold it as having been rebuilt top to bottom and has almost 25k since the rebuild with a few modifications done to it including but not limited to, crank scrapper, updated air box, throttle body spacer, vented discs in the rear. Transmission is original. Exterior -- 8/10. Interior -- 8.5-9/10 - The seats are from a Porsche Boxster with no rips or tears or significant wear marks.
Water pump, belts, clutch master and slave cylinder, new shift linkage and speedometer cable, brakes, spark plugs, wires, msd ignition box, new battery from sears and more were done by the previous owner within last year.
Since owning the car I have put a brand new radiator in ($600.00), then had the rack and pinion rebuilt along with new tie rods ($xxxx.00) and an oil change ($150.00) with 20w50 by Gerber Motorsport (Porsche), along with tires that are brand new in July from Goodyear ($600.00) with a 3-year alignment program that is transferrable ($120.00).
I have brand new upper and lower radiator hoses ($50.00) that I didn't get a chance to put on yet that I will include. The speedometer/odometer stopped working a month or so ago. This is caused by a plastic gear that needs to be replaced for $25.00. I can give the link to the info on it if needed. I've had the car looked at by a couple different shops and the only other items I know that it needs is the front wheel bearings re-packed and there's a crack in the windshield. (I priced a new windshield through the company Gerber recommends and it was $280.00 installed.)
The previous owner handed off a stack of receipts and the original service records. Previous work includes front and rear suspension, new oil pan gasket, new fuel pump along with numerous other items.
It's a super fun car to drive. The clutch is tight and the throw is nice and short. If you're looking for a 944, this is a great place to jump in with an incredible amount of work already put into it. I seriously get compliments on it constantly.
It does have current collector plates.
